About Us

Mehera Shaw staff 'we made your clothes' campaign photo

We are a fair trade, artisan lifestyle brand and members of the WFTO.  We produce womens, kids, homewares and upcycled products for the Indian market using GOTS certified organic cottons and Jaipur/Bagru hand block prints.  Our look is a relaxed East-West aesthetic which transitions easily from work to home to play and works for conscious living.

Everything is made in-house at our production studio in Jaipur.

We believe in connecting quality craftsmanship to market, artisans to style trends, tailors and designers to finished product and consumers to the human story of slow fashion. Our company encompasses a holistic vision of exchange not only between east and west, but also among all participants in the modern value chain.

Our brand and manufacturing are intrinsically connected to the artisan printing traditions of Jaipur.  We design block print collections for each season and print on GOTS certified organic cotton base cloth using AZO free dyes.
We work in Bagru village with traditional vegetable dye Bagru hand block prints and at our own block printing unit near Sanganer where we develop and produce contemporary block print designs inspired by the motifs of India and the East.
Mark and Shari Keller are the founders and owners of Mehera Shaw (both the brand and the private limited company), but our Jaipur staff are the heart of our story.
Together with our Jaipur team, we've built up our company one day at a time.
We started the Mehera Shaw brand in 1999 motivated by a desire to work with the artisan textiles in Jaipur, India and to develop high-quality design which could transition well across cultures.
Our deeper motivation has always been, quite simply, a love of working in India and a belief in Mahatma Gandhi's ideals for humanity.
